Saturday, May 25, 2002 ( 10:05 AM ) MaltaGirl Well, I'm back again after a couple of weeks... a friend commented on my blog saying that it was a very public place to share personal things... but you know what, that's the whole point. :-) I have been going through a down-swing lately, I hate it when that happens, lol. Uni exams start in 2 days, so it is almost-panic-stations-but-not-quite as things are not quite as bad as last semester. Finishing assignments was a nightmare, still have a couple to do but should manage in time. Every times I say to myself, next time I'll do better, next time I'll study every week, next time I'll finish my assignments well in advance... and every time I do the same thing! This semester I have been a little better at keeping abreast of the study and did do a little work in advance, but not enough. Maybe next semester, assuming I pass this round of exams... Next week is going to be just awful as besides 3 exams plus the Biggie on monday 3rd, I have to work 3 times and there is no way I am going anywhere. Just home and school. Not even church (missing the Missions conference). *sigh* Just as well I'm an introvert or it would drive me insane!!! Why is it that sometimes God seems so far away even when i WANT to draw near? Good news is that I am slowly returning and growing closer, and I'm looking forward to a renewed relationship after a dry couple of weeks. I keep making lists of books I want to read, and I really want to make the effort to finally read them. Current list: ~~~ Celebration of Discipline, Richard Foster (for the 2nd time) ~~~ Sowing, Reaping, Keeping (started it a few weeks ago then got lost) ~~~ Quest for Love, Elisabeth Elliot (finish reading it for the 2nd time) ~~~ Revolution, Michael L. Brown (got to chapter 4, need to get into it again) ~~~ The Divine Conspiracy, Dallas Willard (borrowed it but it's still on my shelf) sheesh, that's quite a list. I finished 1 Corinthians yesterday and I'm wondering whether to go into 2 Cor or back to the last 3 (Philippians, Galations, 1 Cor) for in-depth study. Want to finish memorising Philippians too, because I've wanted to memorise an entire book for 3 years but never made it... managed a chapter each of James and Ephesians but that's it. And this summer i WILL finally get into my "Mastering Arabic" once and for all. Now I have a stereo that can play cassette tapes so there's no excuse :-) Hmmm, this has turned into a goal-setting exercise. Current goal: finish assignments and make it through this round of exams. So with that said, I will head back into my C programming notes *sigh* # Comments by: YACCS |
