      ( 6:23 AM ) MaltaGirl

So my 1-month visit to the US is over, has been for precisely 2 weeks.

It was heady stuff while it lasted, as i was treated like a star and spoiled absolutely rotten.

A trip like that does wonders for a girl's self-esteem - possible never-to-be-repeated, but if someone offered me 400 pounds and said here's your fare, i would leave tomorrow. well ok maybe not because i have exams and then school starts again, and i have wasted invested so many years of my life already in trying to become and engineer, it would be a shame to throw it away when i will (should) (might) graduate in 3 years.

Aside from that, i would go. Even though i love Malta so much. For the last 2 weeks i have been wishing i had a camcorder - if i did, i would ride the bus and just film the entire ride across the island and send it to my friends so they could see how beautiful it really is here. Forget the crowded beaches, i love the rubble walls and the terraced fields, the dark green trees, twisted by a prevailing wind and a prevailing lack of water, and the sandy brown soil. The rocky coastline, little inlets appearing like magic from behind an outcropping, kids playing in the water, a wooden dinghy riding the waves. Sailboats and windsurfers, big yellow buses and rusting mini minors.

My country, yeah.
